GPS

Global Print Strategies

In order to use web-to-print as it is intended, an organisation needs to become less of a printer or print manager and more of a fully integrated communications specialist...which is exactly what GPS have done!:

Global Print Strategies (GPS) and RedTie Ltd were introduced a mere eighteen months ago, yet the partnership has since become one of the most powerful examples of how web-to-print can tangibly deliver results.

Despite 24 years experience in print management, GPS, like many others had reached the conclusion that the days of traditional, bulk order printing were numbered and acknowledged the need for change. Many companies were claiming ‘quality’ as a USP, but both RedTie and GPS agree that this should be a given, not a selling point. Indeed, GPS recognised there was a real need for innovation to modernise and add real value to the industry, with web-to-print at the helm.

Armed with RedTie Template (RTT) software, GPS created Varia Solutions – a fully integrated suite of six services, developed exclusively for charity/not-for-profit clients, solely using via RedTie Template software. The suite of services includes Marketing and Promotions; Corporate Communications; Fundraising; Online Shop front; Data Management and Storage and Distribution. The basic function of each is the same – a web-based service enabling anyone with access to the internet (staff, volunteers or fundraisers) to use any of the six services as required.

Graham Reed, of Global Print Strategies explains the thinking behind the creation of Various Solutions, ‘The key was to build a strategy whereby web-to-print creates a real point of difference, to define a niche sector in the market (the charity sector) and truly understanding that sector’s needs. Once we achieved this, we found that we were left with a genuine USP to take to our target market and this set us apart within the printing services industry. By partnering with RedTie, we’ve been able to build an integrated suite of tools that has added real, tangible value to our business portfolio.

Our partnership with RedTie is excellent, we feel very well supported. It is such an advantage to be able to take their software and give it our own look, feel and branding. We are really starting to see some results. One major charity is already using every module of our 6-pronged suite of tools and we have interest growing at a rapid rate. There are now over one thousand users registered on the system, which is set to treble in the next three months
